Then, 6 months pass. Both literally and abstractly. 6 months feel like an atom of light travelling the entire length of the existence of eternity. Every day your brain-cells ache as if they have taken a tumble from the summit of the Himalayas. Every single inch of your body drains as though creation’s oldest carnivore is tasting blood for the first time by feeding off you. Your poor soul twists and turns like the most treacherous Typhoon of the Pacific. You can hear the mutating larvae of your past and present mistakes eating away at your bone marrow. You feel the urge to flee, yet you still hold on as if the moment you open your palms, the whole universe would implode into the pre-Big Bang state. Yet, you take a sip from the holy grail of hope every day, you pray to the invisible and to science each day, and you live another day, dreaming of the portfolio of possibilities……

It doesn’t matter where you live in, it’s all about what you do. Some may disagree with this saying: there are many things that one cannot do because where one lives, whereas one could’ve done those better living in other places. Although what they are saying is certainly true at the secondary or tertiary level, I am talking about the more primary level. Many people live abroad for just the sake of it, doing odd jobs or jobs they don’t like while they may have good opportunities back home. What really matters is what you are contributing to the betterment of mankind as a whole and that could be done living anywhere. Of course, at times, exceptional people do transcend time and place and may do monumental work from a very humble state of being. Just think about Aroj Ali Matubbar, and S. Ramanujan and many others.
